Ages: Youth aged 10-13 years old.
Description: Animal Expeditions is a 45-minute class in which participants can meet animals up close, explore how zookeepers provide animal welfare, journey to animal areas, and learn how the zoo is working to save animals and habitats. Every class is different!
Location: Classes take place in the Discovery Center classroom. Participants can enter the Discovery Center building to the right of the zoo admission gates and check in at the reception desk. Classes will go on to zoo grounds so participants should dress appropriately for seasonal weather.
When: 45-minute sessions offered every other Saturday from 11:15-12:00 p.m. from January - April and September - December.
Cost per class: Zoo members: $10 | Non-members: $13 (Does not include zoo admission.)
