Parrot of the Amazon

This species inhabits flooded tropical rainforests as well as no-flood zones. It nests in the hollows of trees approximately 30 meters (98 feet) above the ground. It has an average clutch size of four eggs.

Communal Roosters

This colorful, social bird may often share spaces with Blue-Headed caiques. It is a communal parrot that may interact with flocks of up to 30 individuals. Several members of a flock may act as sentinels and sound an alarm call when danger approaches.
